People are looking for jobs in many different work fields, but almost everyone uses the same resume template. Regardless if someone is applying for a job as a carpenter or a creative copywriter, often the same template is used. A shame! Because a different look and feel can do a lot for a resume. Allow us to introduce you to different templates. Each industry has its own standards, and applying those standards will raise your chances of getting invited for a job interview.
Creative Industry Resume Templates
Maybe you are looking for a job in the advertising business as a graphic designer. Sending a simple word document with your CV won’t get the attention of the interviewer or recruiter, who won’t even read it and will throw it in the bin straight away. The people who use creative resume templates get invited for the job interview. On the right is an example of what it can look like. Small details like bold titles, geometric shapes in different colors, and a photo in a hexagon give the CV an entirely new look and feel, which will stick in the mind of the recruiter when he/she reads it.

Corporate Industry Resume Templates
People who are applying for a job as a teacher or for a government job should be careful using ‘out of the box’ type resume templates. The interviewers here are often very conservative or traditional and prefer a normal CV. A good example of this is shown on the right. You can see that only the black and white are used. The set-up is very traditional, and skills are not listed as you see sometimes in more modern resumes.

Regular Industry Resume Templates
People who are applying for a job as a teacher or a government function should be careful using ‘out of the box’ type of resume templates. The hiring people here are often very conservative or traditional and prefer a regular looking cv. A good example of this is shown on the right side. You can see that only the colors black and white are applied. The set-up is very traditional and skills are not visualized as you see sometimes in more modern resumes.
